Buying a property either for own stay or investment purpose is one of the biggest decision we make in our life, so it’s very important we consider thoroughly before signing the booking form or S&P.
The impacts of buying a wrong property doesn’t only bring financial loss but also affect our health and emotion. Moreover, it’s not easy to sell the property with serious problems later to potential buyers.
Here’s are the Properties You SHOULD AVOID AT ALL TIMES!
DON’T BUY THESE:
- WRONG LOCATION
You are advised to buy properties in mature area and convenient for your own stay, work and raise your family .
DO NOT BUY beautiful houses in unrealistically FAR away locations that you won’t stay. Don’t fall into this trap!
- BUY WITH EMOTION
DO NOT BUY a property when you feel you are overly happy seeing the beautiful show houses. Remember, most properties don’t come with a free interior design and renovations. DO NOT BUY because you like how the show houses look. Consider carefully about all the other factors before making your decision.
- NOISE POLLUTION
Noise is one of the GREATEST PROBLEM you can have in a house. DO NOT BUY properties in noisy environments (i.e. Highway , Near Religious Places, Near Constructions Sites, ELECTRIC Compressor buildings, near unknow buildings potential to make noises, Other Potential Noise Sources)
ALWAYS study the location or nearby area well by renting a Airbnb to know the noise pollution level before buying.
- AIR POLLUTION
DO NOT BUY properties near dirty highways and factory areas. Rent a Airbnd for 1 week to study the new location and make sure there is no Air Pollution in the area especially at NIGHT TIME when some irresponsible bad guys burning crazy stuffs that you & your family don’t want to breath in!
- LOW CEILING & BAD LAYOUT DESIGN
Buying a Condo has high risk of having bad neighbors, high ceilings can help by making your feel more comfortable and more distant from your neighbors.
DON’T BUY PROPERTIES from cheap and stingy developers who only provide low ceiling heights.
DON’T BUY PROPERTIES that are putting washing machine right inside your living room.
DON’T BUY PROPERTIES without a Proper Kitchen. Don’t buy condo where kitchen is inside the living room! You don’t want to smell the fried chicken when you are watching the TV.
- RISKY DEVELOPERS
DON’T BUY from unknown developers, unless you have done all your study about the developer’s financial situation, reputation and past projects success.
- BAD DIRECTION FACING
DON’T BUY PROPERTIES facing the hot afternoon and evening sun or you will feel like living in an oven.
DON’T BUY PROPERTIES facing unwanted sights like Cemetery, Religious Places, Places that make Noises!
- CLOSE TO FACILITIES
You might think being close to the facilities is a good idea, but NO! You will be affected by the noises in the swimming pool. Kids screaming in the playground and Mosquitoes in the landscape of the condo.
- CLOSE TO STAIRCASES, SERVICE LIFT, AND UNKNOWN ROOMS in Condo
Sometimes, funny noises may come out from the unknown rooms on the condo floor. Stay away from those unknown rooms like rubbish room where people open & close the door loudly, electric room that make loud noises periodically. Being too close to the lifts is convenient for you, but you may hear lots of lift related noises in your house.
- BAD NEIGHBOURS
I am sorry, there is no solution to this! Bad neighbors are everywhere. They make noises, smoke frequently, cook crazy meal everyday or maybe they are Airbnb. You need to have some luck to be around with good and reasonable neighbors.
- The list goes on. If you are buying old houses, do test the water quality. Make sure no rusty water come out from the tap!
